Vision

Dr. Melanie and Dr. Jason started their first practice, Balance Chiropractic Center, in the Hawthorne District in 2006. In 2007 they moved the clinic to NE Portland and changed the name to Pure Life Clinic. In March of 2008 they built and opened the new 2,000 square foot clinic in North Portland, near Portland Community College adding Massage Therapy, Acupuncture and Rehabilitation to the clinic. Pure Life Clinic is very excited about becoming an integral part of the local community for many years to come, continuing to offer the highest quality healthcare in a very relaxing atmosphere.

Chiropractic Theory

Chiropractic theory states that by removing nerve stress, the body will heal naturally. The Doctors at Pure Life Clinic have had years of training in multiple chiropractic techniques that will address the different factors that could be contributing to your health challenges. There is often more going on than nerve stress or spinal misalignment causing interference in the nervous system. There can be scars caused by surgery, past traumas that have never healed correctly, or emotional issues causing long standing stress which can lead to chronic inflammation, digestive imbalance and the inability to break down foods properly. The Doctors at Pure Life Clinic take a diversified approach to your healthcare to address all factors and treatment options and to most appropriately manage your individual needs.

At Pure Life Clinic, we work to clear interference from your nervous system, balance chemical deficiencies, facilitate structural healing and take into consideration how the emotional component affects the body. Many of the techniques used have been shown to help break up old scar tissue and adhesions, promote circulation of nerve flow, lymphatic drainage and blood flow.  Once treatment has started, a nutritional history and supplements review is taken to address any imbalances and get you moving toward better health.  Additionally, we look at your overall activity and exercise level while specifically considering cardiovascular and muscular conditioning and health. We also address postural and ergonomic issues which may be contributing to your problems and give you tools to help you maintain a healthy lifestyle.
